We Walk By Faith, Not By Sight (2 Corinthians 5:7)

2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMPC) says: For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.

For so many years we have formed habits, including the belief that what we see with our eyes is “obviously” real and nothing can dispute it.

These things we see with our eyes: x-rays, scans that doctors read. These may all be things that are “real” and factual. However facts do not mean they are always the Truth.

The Word of God says that we are to talk by faith, not by sight. To walk by faith instead of trusting in our senses. Our senses are earthly-influenced, based on our carnal understanding from a young age. However, God’s Word has been established and forever settled in the Heaven’s (Psalm 119:89). Jesus, Who Is The Word who became flesh, also said He was The Way, The TRUTH and the Life. This means the Word of God is the TRUTH.

Therefore, we must aim to trust in the Word of God instead of our carnal understanding, and, the Word of God above what we SEE, HEAR, taste, smell, and feel.

Prayer is conversation with the Lord. However, when you decree and declare over a situation you can SEE with the Word of God that you are putting your faith into, you will, instantly or thereafter see that thing change. That is because, in Hebrews 4:12:

For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power [making it active, operative, energizing, and effective]; it is sharper than any two-edged sword, penetrating to the dividing line of the breath of life (soul) and [the immortal] spirit, and of joints and marrow [of the deepest parts of our nature], exposing sifting analyzing judging the very thoughts and purposes of the heart.

So, the Word of God, if it is mixed with your faith in believing that it is the truth, and what you believe it will be given to you, it shall be so according to the Word of God, which is the Will of God.

The key is, do not let your eyes and ears cause you to doubt, otherwise you will not be in faith. Whatever is not of faith is sin (Romans 4:23).

Let us believe in the Word of God more than one is natural and visible in front of us. Let us speak to cancer and tell it to shrivel and die in a person’s body so they become well, all in the name of Jesus.) Let us speak peace over our neighbor. Let us “Be Still” in the presence of the Lord and give Him our burdens, while believing that the storm we are convinced we “see” is not only not real, but you can walk through it in Christ in peace.

Be careful what you watch and listen to. Be careful what you give your time to. Be careful we are focused on things that are above. Above all, let us focus on the Lord.

Isaiah 26:3 (AMPC) says:
You will guard him keep him in perfect constant peace whose mind [both its inclination and its character] is stayed on You, because he commits himself to You, leans on You, hopes confidently in You.
