Following God’s instructions can be rewarding, if that is what you are following. We must however first look at our motive and heart posture. If what you are asking God is different from what is truly in your heart, it can get confusing. Why? Because the motive of the heart can leave you going up and down. Are you following what God wants, or what you want? Can you trust your own heart?
As we learn more about God’s instructions, it’s important to not lean on our own understanding. We also learn that our prayers are more affective when we know God’s will through the word….
In the world today there are so many sources of information and instructions. As believers in Christ, we need to ask if these instructions are from the Lord. We also need to use wisdom and understanding to determine how to carry out God’s instructions. We must apply the Word of God, which itself is full of Wisdom, to navigate through these times.
When we trust God, rely upon, depend upon Him, He can direct our paths. God wants to establish you in all your ways. We just need to decide if we are tired of our decisions in life and ready to be directed by the Great I Am.
We all have big dreams and plans that we want to work. As believers we must understand that apart from God we can do nothing. If your plans are not submitted to God and prayed about, you might not be with the Lord on everything. If your not in Christ, this could be why some things don’t work out.
The final program in this series summarizes the key points covered in the entire series over the past nine weeks. The Truth that the born-again believer cannot have a generational curse, has been blessed by God with every spiritual blessing in heavenly places, and cannot be cursed because God has only blessed and not cursed His children. Additional supporting Scripture is also included from each episode in the series in this summary.
Not only does the son or daughter not have to worry about bearing the sins or a generational curse from their fathers and ancestors, but if you turn around and live right, you will not even have to bear your own sin!
The Lord remembers no more the transgressions of the wicked man that turns from his wicked ways and keeps the Lord’s statutes, and does that which is lawful and right. Ezekiel 18:22 shows the Lord stating this person shall live.
As we progress through this series, we see the progression of this topic in Scripture itself. From recent episodes we have seen that the Lord did not visit the children of the third and fourth generation of fathers that committed sin as long as those children loved the Lord and kept His commandments. The false teachings in the church about generational curses often do not teach this important clarifying truth!
In this episode, we see the progression of how the Lord decides to handle sin in the Old Testament. We see from studying Ezekiel chapter 18 in today’s program the Lord putting a stop to an old proverb being spoken. That proverb illustrating that the children were having to pay for the sins and iniquities of their fathers.
We learn that the Lord does NOT visit the iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third and fourth generation of those who LOVE Him and keep His Commandments. (Exodus 20:3-6).
You cannot be cursed and blessed at the same time. Therefore the believer in Christ cannot have a generational curse,
