The Stifled Walk to Christ (Part 2) (251) – June 22 2024
In part 2, we explore the topic of having a Sin Consciousness versus a Righteousness Consciousness, and how this can negatively impact your walk with the Lord.
In part 2, we explore the topic of having a Sin Consciousness versus a Righteousness Consciousness, and how this can negatively impact your walk with the Lord.
Since eternal life is defined by John in John 17:3 as the need to know God the Father and His Son Jesus, we identify some of the blockages that can stifle us in walking in a deeper relationship with the Lord.
We are in the last hour. Soon the Master of the House will Get Up and Close the Door (Luke 13:25). The bells are ringing. Jesus is coming SOON!
Today we are looking at just one example of God’s incredible love for us, from the very beginning of us. This, we will see was before we were formed in our Mother’s womb.
1 Peter 5:7 (AMPC) – Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
See what [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named and called and counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him. (1 John 3:1 AMPC).
This week we speak about those who are of the nature of God, and those of the evil one, Satan and the distinction based on the Holy Word of God.
The topic continues this week out of 1 John Chapter 2, continuing on from verse 16. People say we shouldn’t judge others. Well, we DO need to judge them based on their fruit according to Matthew 7:16. By their deeds, we will know who is sent and being influenced by the devil Satan, and those sent and being influenced for our good by the Holy Spirit.
This week we look at whether we are liars in the face of God. We say that we know Him, but we may erroneously believe that we are loving Him while not actually obeying Him, His commandments and precepts.
By checking ourselves and ensuring that we focus on Him and act on His commandments to us, we keep away from error and sin that can so easily ensnare us.
This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): 1 John 1:59; 1 John 2:1-16.
We all want to be on the best path in life. The Word of God, Jesus Himself, is The Way, The Truth and The Life. Without Him we can do nothing. Without Him we cannot be on the best path. The devil therefore lures us to more familiar activities and distractions. We get to choose what we should watch, listen to, and who to be around. Our soul is being affected in a positive or negative way, moment by moment every day.
This program reminds us of the defeat of sickness and disease, as a result of God defeating the devil and his powers of darkness by him being disarmed (Col 2:15). The devil may still have the ability to inflict sickness and disease and other oppressive evil measures against humanity, but he has no authority to do so because of being disarmed by God in Christ, at the Cross (Col 2:15).
