Why Do Bad Things Happen to Good People? (Pt.11) (289) – March 15 2025
Through the power of the [Holy] Spirit, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.
Through the power of the [Holy] Spirit, you shall [really and genuinely] live forever.
The indwelling of the Spirit of the Lord, reviving us from death to Life by His Grace and His Immeasurable Power. In and for those who Believe.
We look at the struggle between walking according to the flesh versus the Spirit.
This week we walk through the following passage of Scripture. We will let it Speak for Itself:
Romans 6:6-18 (Amplified Classic Version):
6 We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin.
Our soul (mind, will and emotions) is not transformed when we give our life to Christ. Our free will choice has full control over when it wants to begin transformation. This process only begins once we accept the Word of God (the Bible) as the Truth, and do it, not just hearing it, deceiving ourselves.
God has replaced the fallen spirit with a new regenerated one. God continues to transform the new believer’s heart based on the will of the person.
The supernatural transformation of a fallen man into a child of God as man turns to God and away from evil.
Only the utterly undeserved suffering and sacrifice of our Lord Jesus could rescue unbelievers out of the powers of darkness and blindness.
We begin this week by asking who should define what and who is ‘good’.
This week, we focus on Genesis chapter 3, on the very moment mankind makes a tragic misstep, rejecting God and obeying Satan for the very first, but sadly not only time.
