Your Thoughts Determine Your Day: Good or Evil – Your Identity In Christ (147) – June 25 2022

This week we study Proverbs 15:15 (AMPC), and the power of anxious thoughts that can encourage and reaffirm evil events in our daily lives. The power of thoughts and what you say with your tongue (Proverbs 18:21), and whether you decide to acknowledge God every day, spending time with him, walking with Him, knowing He is with you…. These things dictate how you will go through the situations in your life, and whether you will allow mountains (problems) to stay in front of you and not be cast into the sea. (Mark 11:23-25). It is erroneous to believe that God controls everything. He obviously doesn’t because He does not violate a free will. You decided when you gave your life to Jesus. God knew if and when you would, but He didn’t decide for you. You made that choice. The same goes for every day, and everything you do and believe while you do those things. Are we talking God with us? Are we allowing Him to flow through us? Are we taking every thought captive in obedience to Him?

This program covers the following Scriptures from the Amplified Classic version (AMPC): Proverbs 15:15, Isaiah 55:8, Proverbs 3:5-6.

  1. This is powerful. I sometimes wonder when I read something hard the the Bible, why is this even in here? But then I know I am to meditate on it and ask Holy Spirit to show me. Like 2 Kings 6:27-29 where there was a severe famine and what happened with the women eating their children. Or 2 Kings 3:27 where Then he took his firstborn son, who was to succeed him as king, and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. It hurts my heart to read these passages, and I think that’s the point. If it hurts my heart then I know it hurts God’s heart. And I need to be more open to hurting people around me who to reach out and help.
